Junior Trader Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy

1. Statement of Commitment 

Junior Trader is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Every learner has the right to feel safe, supported and respected. 

2. Scope 

Applies to all staff, volunteers, contractors, schools and partners across all digital interactions and events. 

3. Participation of Under‑18s 

• Under‑18s require explicit permission from a parent, guardian or teacher to participate in any Junior Trader activity. 

• No individual face‑to‑face or live contact takes place unless a parent, guardian or teacher is physically present throughout, online, or alone by exemption. If an Under-18 is alone on a Zoom, the call may be recorded for protection. 

Any recorded online meetings or interviews will be on a first name basis, and a consent form will be required for Under-18’s 

• Communications with under‑18s occur only via responsible adults unless a parent or school formally authorises supervised interactions. 

• No one‑to‑one private messaging with under‑18s is permitted unless authorised by a parent or school. 

4. Key Principles 

• Welfare of the child is paramount. 

• All children have equal protection rights. 

• Concerns are acted on promptly. 

• Adult supervision is mandatory. 

5. Online Safety 

• Secure, appropriate platforms. 

• Access arranged and supervised by adults. 

• No direct private contact with under‑18s. 

6. Reporting Concerns 

Email info@junior-trader.org or contact police/authorities in emergencies. 

7. Whistleblowing 

Concerns about misconduct can be reported confidentially without fear of reprisal. 

8. Data Protection 

Safeguarding data stored securely and shared only on a need‑to‑know basis.

Any breach must be reported immediately. Serious breaches reported to ICO within 72 hours. 

6. Individual Rights 

Includes access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection.

Reviewed annually or after regulatory change. 

Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Introduction 

These Terms and Conditions govern purchases of products, online content, courses, and competition entries from Junior Trader. 

2. Orders 

Orders confirmed only once payment is received. We may decline orders prior to confirmation. 

3. Pricing 

Prices in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Confirmed orders not affected by price changes. 

4. Payment 

Payment via approved secure methods. Orders complete only after successful processing. 

5. Delivery of Digital Content 

Delivered electronically to the email provided at checkout. 

6. Cancellations and Refunds 

Refunds available within 14 days if digital content has not been accessed. Competition and event fees non‑refundable unless we cancel. 

7. School and Group Bookings 

Schools confirm they hold necessary permissions for student participation. 

8. Liability 

Not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Liability limited to purchase value. 

9. Intellectual Property 

All materials remain property of Junior Trader and may not be reproduced without permission. 

10. Governing Law 

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
