How to Access JT Dealing Room

You will have been given a password to enter the live competition (Sharing this password is prohibited).

  1. Enter the Dealing Room to test your password
  2. Look at all the stocks and commodities available
  3. Make a note of all the stock Ticker Codes (e.g. TESCO plc is TSCO.L)
  4. Be familiar with the activities of all the stocks, their brands, and the countries and markets they operate in
  5. Make a note of all the % allocations ranges for each investment
  6. Load all these Ticker Codes into your Stocks App and a spreadsheet to create a watchlist

How to deal

Once submitted your trades and prices are locked in

  1. Pick one stock from each retail category using the menus
  2. Choose your preferred index and commodities
  3. Allocate a % of your portfolio to each selection
  4. Choose your Cash allocation if any
  5. After final checks, press SUBMIT TRADE button.
No dealing is allowed during the competition period
  1. Allocate between 1% and 20% of your portfolio to each security
  2. The portfolio allocation must always add up to 100%
  3. Keep a copy record of your own decisions
  4. You may choose to keep up to 10% of your portfolio in cash
  5. If your allocations total below 100%, you will forfeit the difference
  6. If over 100%, that amount will be deducted from your portfolio

  • Change of market expectations
  • Economics
  • Indexation change
